The
Air Jordan 18 (XVIII) Original (OG) - White / Varsity Red
were released on August 9, 2003, and retailed for $175. They feature an all
white leather upper with red accents including the sole and inner lining, as
well as chrome accents on the Jumpman logo and lacing eyelets. The
Air
Jordan 18 (XVIII) appears virtually seamless, besides the visible bold
stitching above the midsole. The shoe was designed by Tate Kuerbis, and is
modeled after the sleek lines of the Lamborghini Murcielago, carbon fiber-based
monocoque of F1 race cars, Race car driving shoes (rubber heel wrap) and Fine
Italian dress shoes (bold stitching on the soles). An interesting feature which
no one really ever talks about are the wing flaps towards the back of the side
panel which provide ventilation to the foot, and truly helps the Lamborghini
Murcielago inspiration come to life. Other features include a hidden quick lace
system, carbon comfort plate, air vents, steel capped laces, full length Zoom
Air insoles, as well as a second unit at the heel. They are great for basketball
as they are highly comfortable and provide great traction.
