Air Jordan Retro 8 (VIII) - Sugar Ray Allen (Black / Stealth - Clover) were released on February 13, 2008 alongside the
Air
Jordan 8 (VIII) Retro PE - Q-Rich (White / Blue Ribbon - Orange Flash). Both
released marked the first time that a Player Exclusive colorway was actually
available for retail to the general public. Only about 24 pairs of both were
released. The release was not broadcasted, and many sneaker fiends had no idea.
This particular colorway features a durabuck construction in a black and green
scheme to match the Boston Celtics jersey, with “
Sugar Ray†stitched
onto the shoe at the ankle area.
